Search Engine Optimization:

Search engine optimization (SEO) is much different than pay per click advertising, and any other form of marketing. It is the most vital part of your internet marketing and should be reviewed daily. The company you use should be making daily changes, to not only get you to the top, but keep you at the top. There are hundreds of things to avoid, and six major mistakes our competition makes on a daily basis. There are tactics that can get you to the top quick, get you removed forever even faster and do nothing for you long term. There are also tactics that can get you to the top rather quickly, and keep you at the top long term. We focus on getting you to the top of the search engines for the long term. If you are looking for a quick fix, pay per click advertising is the best thing for you. The smartest and most effective way to be at the top of Google is by using Smart SEO. This has to be done by a company that has done it before, and that has the capability to constantly update and change your website. NKP Medical can take care of all your search engine optimization needs. If you want to be at the top of the major search engines, give us a call or shoot us an email.

Benefits:

It is hard to weigh the amount of money it is worth to your practice to be at the top of Google, Yahoo, MSN and all the other search engines. To be the first seen for a particular search term can result any where from 8 – 26 new cases per month or more. WOW! Let just say your average surgeon fee was $1,500. That would mean it is worth $12,000 - $39,000 every month, for that specific term. Our very unique method of search engine optimization allows us to not only get you to the top of the major search engines, but stay there! Email us today for your free practice website evaluation. It is free, takes no time on your end, and can possibly result in thousands of dollars of additional income for you.

Patient Referral Websites

Patient Referral Websites can be an excellent tool in getting a lot of patients if you choose the right ones. Many of the sites will over saturate the market, which only harms you, but makes them more money. We also have dealt with hundreds of plastic surgeons, lasik surgeons and cosmetic dentists. Patient referral sites can be a huge asset to your business, but they can also be a huge drain. We have a lot of experience in knowing which sites work, and which sites don’t. Let us help you in your decision process. When choosing a patient referral website, we recommended, at minimum, having the following questions answered.

A. How many surgeons in my area will you allow? You should get this in writing in the contract you sign. You should have an opt out clause, guaranteeing you a full refund if they ever break that promise. We have heard of it happening before, so always protect yourself first.

B. What qualifications does a surgeon need to have to advertise on the site? Important only because you do not want to be affiliated with people not qualified to do what you do.

C. How many Past Clients do you have? If they can’t remember, or don’t know you may have to worry. I know of one company that has about 400 current clients, but over 1,100 past clients. Your chance of succeeding there is much lower than other websites.

D. Follow your instincts – Then wait a day – Then make a decision. A day never hurts anyone in sales. If the company you are considering can not wait a day, they probably need your business more than you can imagine.

Pay Per Click Advertising:

Pay per Clk (PPC) advertising can be a vital part of your internet marketing plan. If you are at the top of Google without paying for it (results from great SEO), or not, you may want to use pay per click advertising. If done correctly, the benefits outweigh the costs significantly. We know of plenty of surgeons with great stories from PPC campaigns. Our favorite is the 51 cent facelift. That was the cost of acquiring the new patient through PPC. Pretty Good Return on Investment.

Things to Avoid with PPC when Considering:

1. Third Party Company: Most companies (company X) will charge you for the PPC campaigns through their company. This essentially means that you are paying them to manage you PPC campaign…you pay them, they pay Google for you. This is the most common mistake we see and a huge benefit of NKP Medical Marketing. What ends up happening is you are paying Google .75 cents a click, and then company X $1.25. There is no reason you should pay a company this way, it only reduces your marketing dollars. If you are going to use a company on a monthly basis, pay them a set monthly fee and pay the search engine (ie. Google, Yahoo, MSN) directly. PPC is easy to set up and too many cosmetic surgeons are taken advantage of by this. The best way to know if you are doing it correctly is to check your credit card statement. If you are being billed by Google, Yahoo or MSN then you are okay. If you are being billed by Company X, you are likely spending a lot more money and getting much fewer results. Ask us about our targeted PPC campaign set up. This involves ZERO work on your side, and is free for you as well.

2. Going after national terms: This is a very easy thing to avoid. A common mistake is when you are buying the adwords, you target the entire United States accidentally versus just your specific market. What ends up happening is you are paying for clicks from patients 2,000 miles away. Some practices do this on purpose, most want to avoid it. Google makes it very easy to set up a local campaign. We can show you how to do it quite easily. Let us know if we can help you with this.

3. Bidding Wars: Google has set the adwords management up much like a Casino. When I am on it, it really feels like I am at a black jack table, being asked if I want to double down. A very common mistake is making quick, rash decisions in reference to the amount of money you are bidding and paying for every single click you get. I know of a couple surgeons that always post a $10 per click maximum on all bids. What this means is that you need to bid $10.01 to be number one. Google does not tell you what the maximum bid is which makes it a bit of a guessing game. However, if you bid $1.01, the other surgeons ($10 max bid dr) bid automatically gets risen to 1.02. It will go on like this until you hit 10.01. This is a confusing subject, but very important. It is very easy to increase your marketing dollars being spent without seeing any additional results. We have a couple articles that discuss this in detail and can email the PDF directly to you. Let us know if you want to read it.
