Earlier this month, we touched on keeping up with beauty trends so that you can get the most out of them for your practice. While it’s important to track seasonal changes, you also need to keep an eye out for more major shifts that can happen from year to year. Sometimes a specific trend can dominate an entire year and influence the seasonal changes that are bound to happen.

2019 is just a few weeks away, and while there’s no way to really predict the future, paying attention to what’s hot and what’s becoming more popular can absolutely help you prepare for the new year.

2019 Is All About the Subtle and the Specific

According to Allure.com, a lot of talk is already taking place regarding the treatments that will be in style come 2019. Dr. David Shafer, a well-informed and experienced plastic surgeon and a client of NKP Medical, spoke on the subject. He emphasized that subtle tweaks and a focus on more natural-looking results seem to be the dominant trends heading into 2019.

According to Dr. Shafer, currently popular treatments like fat grafting are likely to remain popular by the time 2019 starts. However, fat grafting is likely to be used as more of a way to fine tune specific areas by focusing on enhancing natural contours. Breast augmentation is likely to still be incredibly popular, but there is a noticeable shift towards smaller breast sizes with more natural shapes.

The other major trend that many people are keeping their eyes on is the growing popularity of procedures that are more about optimizing very specific features. Dr. Shafer noted that some of the more popular procedures involve making subtle changes that create major enhancement in the appearance of certain features.

Being able to deliver on these types of procedures could be huge for your business in 2019.
